Thanksgivings

If you have a birthday or anniversary, or some event of special spiritual significance for you and you wish to share your joy with the congregation, you may come forward at that time in the service.

Prayers of the People

You are encouraged to pray for friends, family and those in need during the week using the weekly cycle of prayers found in the bulletin as your guide. Please contact Carol Angel to have some one added to the prayer chain and call the church office ( 377-0106) to have someone added to the weekly prayer cycle. The Sunday Prayers of the People are taken from Intercessions for the Christian People by Gail Ramshaw. You are encouraged to lift up your own prayers during each section ending with “ Lord have mercy”.

Communion

We believe that all who seek God and are drawn to Christ are welcome at the Table. You may either receive the bread and wine separately or “intinct.” To intinct, just say to the celebrant “wafer,” and he/she will give you that instead of the bread. When the chalice comes, the chalice bearer will take the wafer and dip it into the wine for you.

Child care

Child care is available for infants and toddlers and restless children up to age six. The childcare room is located downstairs. It is available from 9:00 a..m. until after the 10:15 a.m. service. Our Child Care Guidelines are available here.

Parking

You may park in any of the spaces around the church not designated "reserved" (even if there are numbers on the space). Parking is also available in the Eye Clinic lot on the corner of Callahan and hemlock, and in the lots of the medical office buildings below the church on either side of Hemlock St.

Hearing Impaired Assistance

Individual units to amplify the service are available to hearing impaired worshipers. See an usher if you need one.
