Mission Statement
To Equip and Ready People to Share God's Love and Spiritual Works
Christian Formation classes and special events are held throughout the year
for pilgrims and seekers of all ages. During the Sunday education hour
(9:00-9:50 a.m), children 3 years old through 6th grade participate in the
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program in dedicated learning centers,
called "atriums" (meaning place of preparation), from September through
June. Young people in junior and senior high school meet downstairs in the
Youth Room and Chapel off the parish hall, and use the "Rite 13" and
"Journey to Adulthood" formation curricula. Held during the same hour is an
adult forum in the Oliver Room where people discuss the Bible readings for
the day and a variety of topics planned a year at a time.
The Youth Group, for young people in 7th through 12th grade, meets on
Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In the Canterbury Manor Library every Thursday morning from 11:00-12:00 noon
a Bible discussion group meets to ponder the meaning of Scripture for our
life and times, led by the Rector.
