Altar Guild
break down barriers that separate us from one another...
St. Paul's altar guild is a shining example of a ministry in which old and young, female and male are welcomed and made to feel essential. In the act of preparing for the Lord's Supper we are taught not only the meaning behind the rituals, but reminded time and again of the lineage from which our tradition has come.
This is a quiet, behind the scenes kind of ministry, but one whose importance cannot be overstated. The care and maintenance of our altar appointments, and the necessary preparations that must be carried out before every service, ensures that the People of God in this place can worship him in the beauty of holiness, literally. ~RAL
Those who take part in providing flowers for each Sunday's service understand that our best experiences of worship often utilize all of our senses. Providing color, beauty and scent, the presence of flowers reminds us that something celebratory is about to happen. We are blessed in the Pacific Northwest with a variety of beautiful flowers and some of the most beautiful arrangements come from our own parishioners' gardens.
